Mark S. Gottlieb Named to Dual Leadership Roles in Forensic Accounting and Business Valuation
Appointed Chair of NYSSCPA Business Valuation & Litigation Services Committee and to AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee; named to Forbes Best-in-State CPAs 2026.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – NEW YORK, NY — April 29, 2026 — Mark S. Gottlieb, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, CVA, has been appointed to two prominent national leadership positions. Gottlieb will chair the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) Business Valuation and Litigation Services Committee, effective June 2026, and has been selected as one of just ten professionals nationwide to serve on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee.
The NYSSCPA committee sponsors conferences and educational programs, publishes articles in leading journals, and operates a Technical Helpline for members navigating business valuation and litigation services questions.
The AICPA FVS Executive Committee is the profession’s foremost national body for forensic accounting and valuation — establishing enforceable standards, developing public statements, and serving as the AICPA’s official voice on these matters.
Gottlieb’s selection to both bodies reflects his standing as one of the nation’s leading practitioners in the field. He was also named to the Forbes Best-in-State CPAs list for 2026, adding to his 2025 recognition on Forbes’ Top 100 Valuation CPAs in the United States.
“I’m honored by both appointments and looking forward to getting to work. The FVS Executive Committee is where the direction of this profession gets decided, and leading the NYSSCPA committee is a great opportunity to serve the New York community I’ve been part of for over 35 years.”
— Mark S. Gottlieb, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, CVA
